How can I submit a request for a grant or contribution?
To request a grant under $1,000, please submit a cover letter on the requesting organization’s official stationary and mail to: Hudson River Bank & Trust Company Foundation, Holly Rappleyea, Foundation Secretary, PO Box 1189, Hudson, NY 12534. The letter must include the following information:
- Mission Statement/purpose of organization;
- Board member list and their affiliations;
- Description of the need for funding;
- Annual budget and/or project budget;
- Include a list of the organizations and foundations that support the requesting agency and the most recent amounts contributed;
- Describe the purpose and amount of the last grant received from the Hudson River Bank & Trust Company Foundation; and
- Copy of the IRS 501(c) (3) federal tax exemption letter
What if the Organization would like to apply for a request over $1,000?
For requests over $1,000, please contact Holly Rappleyea at 518-671-6226 to obtain a copy of the application.
What types of requests does Hudson River Bank & Trust Company Foundation support?
While the Foundation is open to considering any worthy project or program that meets its basic guidelines, it concentrates its grant-making in Healthcare, Community Development, Education and Youth, Arts and Culture, Historic Preservation and Environmental Protection.
How often does the Hudson River Bank & Trust Company Foundation meet?
Depending on the number of applications received, the Committee meetings are on the third Thursday of every month. Completed applications are due a week prior to the scheduled meeting.
When will I be notified of the Foundation’s decision?
The Organization should contact the Foundation’s secretary, Holly Rappleyea, regarding the funding decision.
