Amerus Exchange Grant

Holly Rappleyea and Marilyn Herrington of the Hudson River Bank & Trust Co. Foundation join Jack Mc Gurgan, president of THE AMERUS EXCHANGE, LTD (TAEL) in holding his group’s new banner. A grant from HRBTF helped launch TAEL’s Portal Project which is designed to communicate the organization’s mission: recruiting and leading American citizen diplomat volunteers to Russia where they help Russian educators and students develop democratic principles and practices. TAEL’s next education exchange takes place in Kursk, Russia during April of 2008.
The Hudson River Bank & Trust Company Foundation was established in 1998 to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations. The Foundation continues its charitable giving with an emphasis on education, youth development, arts and culture, historic preservation, health care, human services and community development.
